Whats the low down on the AR15.com lowers in the online store? Are they any good? Are they another brand just with AR15.com logo on it? Has anyone used the lowers? Pros and cons? Im thinking of starting a build soon and these lowers kind of caught my eye.....

i did a pistol build on mine, i think the lower is top notch, the LPK i used was less than good, so my lower build up was less than satisfactory. the lowers are GTG in my opinion

I have two of them - one is from the 1st run and the other I got a little later. I like them and they are of good quality.
Just a neat thing to have.

The forged is like it says, poured aluminum into a casting mold in the exterior shape of the AR15 lower then CNC finished.  Billet is block of aluminum that is 100% CNC'd into the exterior and interior of the AR15 lower.

Some say the forged lower is stronger and it definately has the better price point but the billet sure is sexy like and very hot woman and empties your wallet very quickly.

No, poured into a casting mould would be cast. A forged receiver is pounded (forged) aluminum into the general shape of the object and then machined into final shape.

I have/had all three types I've never had any problems. The finish on the POF's is very nice the best IMO.

I have one of the POF lowers that were offered here.. Of Course I was the $200 guy and then they dropped to $150 but now that I am about 90% finished with MY very first build I am very happy. I bought a POF Upper and I could not be happier.. I have a couple more things to finish before I can take it out for a test drive. There are pictures coming shortly.  As I stated I am a VIRGIN builder and tis could not have gone smoother. I used the "stickey" from this forum and WOW it was great.
