I have been thinking about building an AR-15 pistol using the Model 1 kit. For the lower receiver I was thinking about using a 80% casting and drill jig from AR15plus.com. Thus eliminating the "rifle lower" problem. I know there are pistol lowers but I want to try building an AR from scratch.

Has anyone finished a lower using this jig? I have a drill press, and thought the jig would be easier than trying to measure and locate the holes on the casting.  Of course to justify the cost of the jig, I would have to use it to make some more lowers for future projectshink
Just wanted some feedback from people who have been there and done that.  I tried searching for past posts but didn't find anything. Thanks
