What was the last pinned (in GD) test done? I can't find it for my son to watch.
ETA: Never mind. |

@bluefalcon have you tested 70gr barnes tsx 5.56? If not if I sent you a box would it be possible to get a video on the ammo?
Also saw 78gr barnes tsx on midway (unloaded projectiles) might grab a box whenever they're in stock and see what I can come up with for a load. Unless they're meant for something other than 5.56. Maybe barnes entry into the 224valkyrie game? |

I have not tested it. Email me.

So have you tested this manufactures ammo:
5.56mm 62 Grain Green Tip FMJ M855 IMI Ammo Made by Israel Military Industries I'm interested in the performance of the 62 grain green tip They all so manufacture a 5.56mm 55 Grain FMJ M193 IMI. If you all ready test 62 grain, Can you link me to the video? Thanks for your time! PITA45 ![]() |

Any update on the latest test? Your poll thread in GD's been gone for awhile and was wondering what the next test was or will be (in case I missed it).

.45acp Ranger T series from a 5" 1911 or other 5" service pistol and 4" carry pistol, vs all comers from 5" service and 4" carry pistols.

Tacked in GD for today and added to beginning of this thread. Yes, it did quite well and I wish I had thought of that comparison when I shot the video. The penetration of the base wasn't quite what we've seen from Mk 318 but overall terminal performance is generally similar.

Ah, was hoping it'd be the Hornady 73gr Critical Defense. Good stuff regardless though, and thank you again for all these tests!

Hornady 62 grain FMJ might be interesting. I have seen another video which showed it expanded like a SP with 13+” of penetration.

I would like to see Hornady 55 gr V-Max as that is what I keep in my AR15 & LCAAP M118.
As for the 55 gr V-Max I know what you say about varmint loads but I live in a neighborhood with houses in all but one direction. In that direction there is a school across the street. My thinking is that should I graze of even miss I don't want rounds exiting my house at full power. However, that is just what I have and I am always considering my SD ammo choices. |

125g sst 300blk spec.
Seen some test with a 10.5, but curious how it does with an 8". ETA: Fiocchi specifically. |

9mm, top three carry options in heavy for caliber, 147gr projectiles.
.40 S&W top three, 180gr. .45 acp, top three , 230gr All from the same length barrel, preferably 5", but 4.25" work. So many carry the 1911 5", so that would be good to do if you have 5" 9mm and .40SW as well. Then do the 4.25" or 4.0", even go to 3" if you have them all. I've looked all over and cannot find a gel test with all three with the same ammo, from the same barrel length on the same day. All you'll find is cement, wood, or pork, and while the pork ribs are good to see, you can't compare wound channels like you can in gel because they aren't clear and clean. Ammo would be Gold Dot, Ranger T, HST, bare, and with 4 layers of denim. |

Saw your Hornady 123 test for the 6.5 Grendel. Awesome. If you could, test the Speer gold dot 120 grain for the Grendel. Seems allot of folks have issues with the 123 gr pills. I moved to 120 grain see a big improvement.

I’m wondering if we’ll ever see the 6.5 Grendel Wolf steel case ammo test. I sent him the ammo, and I think he did the test, but it never got posted up. ![]() |

I sent him a box German MEN 56gr M193 that was delivered yesterday. I sent him it because I was curious to see how it would perform compared to other M193 loads.
