[Last Edit: 10/23/2003 9:33:51 AM EDT by Greybeard]
Have a AR10, A4.
Looking for some opinions about scopeing this rifle out, right now have a Springfield first gen on backorder, 4x14x50 (new Smaller objective), rangefinding reticle, non illuminated, going to use this for deer hunting across beanfield and such and targets in the off season. Am concerned that the reticle will get lost in the late afternoon or early mornining hunting, can change to the regular Pro-Plex reticle, any experience with this scope ,any issues with durability or warranty work, and generaly the whole Springfield line of scopes.
Thanks
Update the scope will be here next week and will be the older version with the 56mm objective. The question is will the one piece Armalite one piece mount work with this size objective? regular handguards not the FFtube.
will I need something like the Tapco riser to clear the handguard with the bell?

If Greybeard does not mind me "borrowing" his thread, would like to ask why and how well you like your IOR scope? Did couple of web searchs and was wondering how you find them to compare to the Leupold etc. Thanks John

BTT Has anyone used the Armalite one piece mount to mount a large objective scope on a AR10, standard handguard, looking to mount a 56mm Springfield armory scope on a flatop ar10. If mounting a 50mm using the one piece scope mount, how much clearance do you have between the objective bell and the handguard? Thanks
