I have thought about the same thing...just never had the $$$ to figure it out.
I am sure it would work, there isn't any reason why not, but a 308 pistol would be very loud and the muzzle blast would be pretty bad also. I am sure if Armalite built one, they would sell them....I just don't know how many. Anybody ever seen or shot one? |

I have built one. use 10 inch + barrel and a standard a2 buffer tub........

I had a dealer tell me Armalite does not sell stripped lowers. If this is true what would be the next option to order a lower to make a legal pistol?

Eagle Arms AR-10 stripped lowers....
I have an Eagle Arms AR-10 lower that I had registered and transfered to me as an AR-10 PISTOL receiver... I have not had the time to figure out how to build it but I figure I will likley build a Bolt-Action 308 (or perhaps a 22-250)for the initial build... I just have not founda cheap AR-10 upper that i wanted to buy to cut the barrel in half yet.... |
