Can a AOW AR-15 now be made from an existing registered post-ban receiver, without the weight limits, handgaurd limits, and the other crap?

what are you trying to do to make it an AOW???

Yes, you can make an AOW with a post ban receiver but it must be with a virgin receiver (ie, never had a buttstock on it, ever). An AOW cannot have a buttstock but it can have the extension tube. It will also need a vertical front grip of some sort. An AOW is not bound by any of the AW restrictions so you can have all the evil features you want. A private citizen can make an AOW upon having an approved Form 1; the making tax is $200, subsequent transfers will be $5. If you can find a dealer or manufacturer who can do it for cheaper, it would be just a $5 tax and whatever fee they charge.

Yes I think that's way I should go. I got a DMPS Pistol reciever, and I want to make it an AOW.
