FIVE MORE GOT BROKEN IN YESTERDAY. I AM GETTING WHERE I CAN TOLERATE EOTECHS PRETTY WELL. STRONG WORDS COMING FROM A 10-YEAR AIMPOINT DEVOTEE.
 I SIGHTED THESE IN WHILE DOING THE FIRE-LAPPING AND BREAK-IN. IT IS AMAZING THAT FIVE UPPERS WOULD ALL INITIALLY SHOOT SO CLOSE POA/POI AT 25 YARDS. THE GAS PORTS ON ALL FIVE OF THESE MEASURED 0.070", BTW. WES GRANT M.S.T.N. |

I doubt that! Not coming from Wes. Besides those don’t look like 11.5 inch barrels. I’d bet that they’re LMT.
Wes, I sympathize with you. It must be hard to put so many round down range, especially with that giggle switch you have. |

FULL AUTO IS NOT ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE, REALLY. NONE OF THE HIGH SPEED MILITARY TYPES USE IT. OF COURSE, IT CAN BE ENTERTAINING.
SHORT - NOW, THAT IS THE HOT SET-UP. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET RID OF THE PURPLE HUE ON LMT UPPERS IS TO DEGREASE THEM AND REMOVE THE HEAVY COAT OF LUBE THE LMT SHIPS EVERYTHING WITH. IT WON'T HELP PURPLE ANODIZING, THOUGH. WES GRANT M.S.T.N. |

I FREELY ADMIT IT - NO ONE HAS MORE FUN THAN PAUL AND ME.
ACTUALLY, PAUL MAY HAVE HAD MORE FUN THAN ME THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS. HE'S JUST RETURNING FROM SOME (HOT AS BLUE BLAZES) PLACE IN SOUTH TEXAS AFTER SHOOTING A 3-GUN MATCH WITH OUR SPONSORED SHOOTER TARAN BUTLER. AS USUAL, TARAN WON. HENCEFORTH, HE SHALL BE REFERRED TO AS TARAN "THE HONCHO ON THE CONCHO" BUTLER, A REFERENCE TO THE LOCALE WHERE THE MATCH WAS HELD. ON THE FIRE-LAPPING: I ACTUALLY HAVE NEVER TESTED IN ANYTHING LIKE A SCIENTIFIC MANNER TO SEE IF IT MAKES A SNOWBALL-IN-HELL DIFFERENCE IN A CHROME LINED BARREL. BUT, BASED ON THE EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE I HAVE, I THINK IT DOES. THE OUTFIT THAT GETS THESE HAS, HOWEVER,ESTABLISHED TO THEIR SATISFACTION THAT IT IS INDEED BENEFICIAL TO BOTH ACCURACY AND EASE OF CLEANING. I'LL TAKE THEIR WORD FOR IT. I don't think it's much of a revelation that the real world application of automatic fire is pretty much limited to the use of suppressive fire and perhaps a few other special instances, but it's still fun enough to make as giddy as a school girl in pink. |

I find that the more full-auto guns I put in my safe the less I feel like shooting them. I went to the range on Sunday and only took my SPR and bolt gun. |

Agreed, and thus Mr. Grant's caveat, "OF COURSE, IT CAN BE ENTERTAINING". I was just making a personal observation, FWIW. Taken in the context of 'practical' application of the basic AR platform as a personal defensive weapon, I think his statement speaks volumes. |
