It would be perfect if the riser block could be see-through.

BTW, what kind of carrier is that?

Anyone have a reticle shot? Shooter POV maybe? Other then the one that Larue gave us, something like at a range.

Does anyone know if Aimpoint is planning to offer a dot that is smaller than the current 4 MOA dot?

I like the optic, but the current dot is huge !!

Hmm, that 4 MOA dot looks huge! can you put a target in front so that I can get a idea of the proportion?

Nice collection btw!

I think its just camera flare

I think Cowboy is right about camera flare. I checked out a Micro at a local store and the dot doesn't look any where near as big as in that previous photo.

Thats possibly the most functional short FAL I've ever seen.

Anyone got a pic of how it would look in the larue low mount on a flattop AR? I was thinking about that for a super low profile sight on a SBR with flip up buis's. (I know nothing would co-witness if the irons were in use, they would be for backup -T1 removed- only.)

i tried it - it's a bit too low for a comfortable cheek weld - lower than your normal/natural head up position. you could do it, but i wouldn't recommend it. the larue low mount works best for rails that are slightly raised, like the Vltor CASV or other weapons. it's great on an FAL para that already has a low stock and requires a very low mount.

larue low mount on CASV-M - the larue low mount is only slightly higher than the aimpoint T-1 mount...

larue standard mount on M4

Here are some, using Victor's SARand Micro T1 as an accessory rather than a primary sight.

What kind of co-witness does the larue low mount on a 1/2" riser give?
Link Posted: 3/4/2008 6:30:44 PM EST
I have read that the micro on the standard mount raises the dot 3/4" above the top of the rail. However, I've read that the larue low mount (which is higher) makes the dot lower than absolute co-witness on a kac ras hump.

What height do these mounts put the dot above the rail?

I want to mount one on a 1/2" riser and have absolute or lower 1/3 co-witness.

I just ordered my micro t1 this weekend......hope it arives before I go to the range this week I've been looking at different options for mounts and Ive got to say LaRue, you make one helluva product but man, that big ol riser rail isnt too tacticool!!!
Prolly gonna try using my riser for my eotech first until I can save up for some of LaRue's badass gear!

Edit- just got off of the phone this morning w/optics planet and they were out of the micro t1 demo's in stock.......... but they called me up and let me know this. I talked to them a bit and I now have enroute a brand new Comp ML3 w/ next day shipping for $20 cheaper than micro next day shipping!!!! Hellyeah!!!!! Now.......I just have to mount this bad boy!!!!
Edit again!!! And I just ordered the LT129 from you LaRue!

Received my T1& Larue mount yesterday and it is sweet. I like it better on my SBR work rifle much better than the ML2.

You guys are going to make me spend money.
Link Posted: 3/12/2008 5:27:58 PM EST
So far from what I have seen and read on this forum and on the Aimpoint website is that the Micro T-1 is everything a M2 is but smaller and lighter. Is that a correct assessment? I really like the Micro and am willing to save up to get one. I just wanted to confirm with the community that my assessment of the two sights are correct.

The T1 may well replace the Aimpoints in the inventory, it's small and does the same job, if not better. Just a guess. With a better mount (sorry, I don't like the LaRue mount) that resembles the Wilcox Aimpoint mount, it'll really cut down the weight.

I do like the low LaRue T1 mount, not so much the standard height mount. No I can't design a better mount, but if I had the means, it'd be a skeletonized one like the PRI or Wilcox Aimpoint mount, with a QD mechanism.
