Can't decide between an AFG1 or AFG2 anyone used both? Pros and cons? I plan on buying today! Worries that the 2nd Gen may be too small for a good grip  pics would be helpful too thanks!

I'd like to see some comparisons to. I don't know the difference... didn't even though there was an AFG2.

Both AFG models have the same grip area size. AFG2 was made to work better with different rail covers by removing the wings.

I don't have any pics for comparison between the two but I handled both before I made up my mind and the AFG2 was too small for me to get a good grip and felt like it squished my knuckles. I had to get the AFG1 because it fit my hands. I also wear a size Large glove and use the large grip on my MIAD if that helps your decision any.

Heres a pic of the AFG2.  Like others said it doesn't have the wings, which I like.  I'd say try them both out and see which one you like better...

AFG1 has about 4" of grop while AFG2 has about 3.5" (that half inch of grip can make a big difference for larger hands)

Not my own picture but you can see the differences easily:

The AFG1 didn't work too well with XTM on my Diablo rail. The wings jammed up against the covers.

No, they have the same grip size. The size reduction comes from the useless area at the rear of the grip.

I'll simplify this - get the TWO - if you want the ONE, you can probably trade it 1:1 locally (the converse isn't as likely).  Functionally they're identical unless you happen to be running an odd rail such as a DD RIS-II (then only the GenII fits)

The 2 replaced the 1. The 2 is improved so that's the one to get.

Sold off both of my AFGs for AFG2s..... and I also run the smooth panels.
