i got my ACOG and after 300 rounds today i must say it is somthing that you must experiance to beleave it !
i am gona try and post a pic of my set up and i bet i will have a little red X and that will suck !

I put a arms #40 on the rear and the ACOG would not fit with it installed ,what other back up sigths will work with the TA11 ACOGS ?

I dont know about the TA11, but I had to put an arms#40L under my TA31. #40L is lower profile.

arms #40L will sit lower on the flat top than a arms#40 in the closed position ?

Yep, that's why it is called the #40L. I forget exactly how much lower it rides, but it is considerable.

I think that you could go even further forward. Like flush with the front of the receiver. The final configuration will of course depend on your personal preference.

40, 40L and KAC 300M will work. TA51 mounts the ACOG slightly lower than the 19 and 19S, so the 40 will almost touch it but not quite

+1

I have a #40 mounted behind my TA11 - no problems. Move the scope forward and you will be fine.

With the scope in the position of the second pic the 40 will fit no problem.

The TA51 mount doesn't always work with some ARMS #40 sights if the tolerances stack the wrong way. The Larue, ARMS #19S, and ARMS #19 will all mount high enough to clear the ARMS #40 sight.

However, the TA11 has enough eye relief that you can just move the scope forward a notch or two and have plenty of room to use it. I use a NTCH stance so I have my TA11 mount flush with the front of the receiver and still have plenty of room.

The Knight 300M and GG&G MAD will fit under that TA-11 just fine.

Not true. The TA51 wont always work with the TA31 but the TA11 sits higher. It always works... at least that I have seen.

So the guy who said it won't fit in this thread is just pulling our legs? Also, what evidence do you have that suggests that the TA11 sits higher than the TA31?

The TA11 I have sits about the same distance above the ARMS #40 as the TA31s in #19S do in the pictures shown here. If there is any difference in height, it is so slight you would need calipers to measure it.

I would go with a Troy for your BUIS. It will fit perfectly under that ACOG. It does on mine.

Just my .02

Nice looking setup. What kind of rail system is that?

Thanks for the kind words guys
out of all my weapons i have owned or assymbled this is what my wife said that thing is just ON TIME !
she said the TA11D is bad ass ! shit man i am in love all over again ! and she ant a fat ugly DOT ether

all i could think was WOW at that point... dont know what ON TIME meens in wife talk but any good words other than HOW MUCH DID THAT COST are good words from the wife

back on tech.
THE arms #40 i used for the test was at my local gun shop i was about to order one and droped by my buddys to try his first and it will hit the eye bezel. i could grind off maybe .035 thousands off and it would cleer and not get into the apature. so a arms #40 with a TA11D and a TA51 will not clear the bell.
i have not tried with the scope all the way forward. when i mooved the scope forward i could notice the front sigth shadow maybe i need a flip up front sigth for it ?

THE rail is a YHM midlength light weoight FF and i like it at the moment

thanks for the kind words about my POS RIFLE. and the help.!

AND A BIG THANKS TO DUFFY for kicking the TA51 out of his safe i gave it a good home
