I would like to use my Acog compact on my flattop. Trijicon makes a TA60 mount. Will this be high enough to see over the front sight?

No, it wont mount it high enough... however, seeing the front sight post wont be that big of a deal. Most people dont even notice it when they are shooting.

Another option you may have is to buy a removable carry handle, and mount the Comp ACOG to that. Not only will that rise it high enough for you, but it will allow you to have immediate access to iron sights. Thats the way I would go with a Comp ACOG on a flat top.

The TA60 is a great mount for the compact ACOG. The cheek weld is perfect. The front sight post just appears as a little blur.

OK, webphotos sucks and won't allow links anymore. IM me with your email address and I'll send you a picture of my 2x20 ACOG mounted with a TA60 mount.
