I currently have an ACOG TA01 mounted on my M-4 type
carbine mounted in the carry handle of an early Colt A-1 reciever.

I am wanting to go with the ACOG mounted in the ARMS #19 ACOG
mount with the throw levers for quick detach.
But my question is this, what BUIS do I need to use ?

I have been looking at the MAD and the ARMS #40.
My barrel has the F stamp on the gas block so will I be OK as far as
zeroing goes ?

Thanks,

Scott

Just about any BUIS will work with the extra height of the ARMS #19. I like the ARMS # 40 or the KAC 600M.

Anyone have any pics of these sights ?
The ones in the catalogs do not clearly show the aperatures.

Thanks again,

Scott

check HERE and click on the ARMS and then the various models. He has pretty good pictures of them.

I have the ACOG TA31 and the 40L which I like very much and would recommend

I would encourage you to surf the Industry section or Equipment Exchange on this board thoroughly to see what's what

I made my choice after doing so, and seeing all of the different set-ups in places like Picture thread, Industry Forum, and Industry web sites

good luck

Edited to add: When the Photo Server comes back up...... Check HERE as these are the best comparison photos I have seen

I'd caution against this statement. Some BUIS such as the YHM/Bushmaster sight cannot be mounted all the way to the rear. This will make getting the proper eye relief with scopes such as the TA01 difficult. The ARMS 40 and KAC sights are very low and can be mounted all the way to the rear.

How about the GG&G MAD sight ?
I am sort of leaning toward it, as it looks like it
would give me what I am looking for.

The ARMS #19S and the #40 work perfectly together. You don't want the old #19ACOG with two levers; it's far longer than it needs to be.

Does the one with just one lever hold pretty well ?
I just figured that the one with 2 would hold a little better.

Thanks,

Scott

Hey, thanks.

I will look into that mount.
they cost about half as much as the other one too don't they ?

Scott

BTW,Does the front sight show up in the scope ?

The MAD will fit under an ACOG in a TA51, so it will fit with an ARMS 19 or 19S.

Top: TA31, ARMS 19S, ARMS #40 Bottom:TA31, TA51, MAD.
