I know that they were made for the cleaning kit, but it's kinda dumb for me to put one in there when I take a cleaning kit shooting/hunting with me anyways. So what do you put in yours? Anything useful? I've seen weights that go in there for comp. shooters as well, but that's not what I need.

I hide money in mine from my snooping girlfriend, I had stuffed $3000 in hundred dollar bills in there, I actually knew a NYC cop that hid money in his S&W revolver INSIDE THE BARREL that is where I got the idea from, thank god he never had to shoot anyone,

Seriously, GI cleaning kit w/ pistol caliber brushes, oil soaked patches, ear plugs, broken shell extractor and cleaning brush. Damn near as bad as a woman and her purse.

I used to put cigarettes in mine. A great way to keep them dry in the field.

Ah this has been great! Boresnake and spare parts are the best ideas, but spare air and money have to be the most original!

Anyone actually ever use their broken shell extractor?

Issue A2, money, death letter(last letter to wife if I don't make it) stuff to ID me if the rifle is all thats found.
At home, lead or parts.
