Does anyone know if any Colt A1 buttstocks had the trap door ?  or was it only intruduced in the Colt A2 buttstock?

The vast majority (If not all you will find) of A1 buttstocks have the trap door.
The buttplate that surrounds the door will be plastic.
Also the steel buttplate on an A2 stock will fit on the A1 stock.
I replaced my A2 stock with an A1 and kept the original buttplate.
This gives me better eye relief for a scope. Here's a pic.

All M16A1s have trap doors.

All M16A2s have trap doors.

C1 stocks have HUGE storeage compartments behind their trapdoor.

Sully Stocks have no trap door

M16 & M16E1 rifles didn't have trap doors (some may have been retrofit since they left the factory though).  The original M16 stock's rear swivel really swiveled.

Not all M16A1's have trap doors. Colt, GM and HR made M16A1s from 1968-1971 that came with the non- trap door stocks. The trapdoor stocks didn't come into wide use until post 1971.
