Nope. You will have to re-profile the entire front end of the barrel in order to even get the .625 (A1) front sight base to fit.
Adco Firearms will profile around the legs of a standard A2 front sight base to make it look like an A1 though. |

Or they can profile the barrel and attach an A1 base you provide. I'm thinking about doing one of those for my retro clone so I can have an A1 1:7 twist barrel. |

If i have it re profiled i will most likely lose the colt stampings on the barrell correct?
