Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 9mm Serial number

I'm trying to ID the following serial number LTA 002XXX...I know it's a 9mm .....I found the prefix TA on the serial number list....but no LTA....any thoughts....pre or post ban?????

I've got one also, LTA004XXX. I believe these are pre ban LEO/Export receivers.
Did you get a copy of the ATF letter? If not, email me ([email protected]), and I'll scan you a copy.

According to Colt the "L" in "LTA" on a 9mm Colt AR means it's a LE only firearm...  at least that's what they told me!
