This is the pistol upper we use at our shop. I have turned it into a registered SBR. This is the only pic at present as it has left the area for Duracoat. The same upper is offered on our manufactured and laser engraved pistol lowers. The barrels are 6" match grade barrels manufactured for the pistol purpose. We found it better (much more accurate) than cutting down the 16" barrels. All comments are welcome. The shiny piece on the end is a full length fake can so you don't have a barrel sticking out there by itself. The fake cans are annodized on production guns.

I saw some of ya'lls pistols at a Gun Show about a month ago, with the Beta mags. AWESOME

I picked up a card and will be contacting you in reference to my next build

cool, a side charging upper. do you have pistol buffer tubes? short ones?

Unfortunately all the experimenting and we still ended up with the standard tube. The most important thing is function and we did not want to sell guns that will not function.

what lower is that?

these are lowers made for my shop by LAR manufacturing

what system is the upper built for ?
Link Posted: 8/13/2005 4:28:22 AM EDT
Not exactly sure what you mean. These are standard AR15 pistol lowers with a 9mm mag well block. The uppers will fit on standard lowers. If you use other than a pistol lower you BETTER have a SBR tax stamp or risk fed time.

I think he was asking if it was the Olympic style 9mm, or the Colt style 9mm.

I'm not that familiar with 9mm's, but the picture looks like the Colt system. If I'm not mistaken, the Olympic system uses a mag block (or a block welded to the magazine) that puts the magazine at the front of the magwell, instead of the middle of the magwell.

It is a new site and is not finished as of yet. theforrestspecial.com. It is a colt based system. I am not a big fan of the olympic system. Please be patient with the web site as I am not high on the web guys priority list. He is working on it though. I am filing to be a business member on this forum so I can post lots of my stuff here. I am currently working on an integrally suppressed SBR in 9mm as well as the Krinkov AK's. The AK's are here now but the SBR suppressed will be awhile. R&D is time consuming. If you guy's have any ideas let me know. thx
