I am a Firefighter, also love the ARs, while I was out Christmas shopping last night, I found a two pack of flashlights, they look alot like a surefire, same size, black annodized, push button on tail cap, 80 lumens, about 5" long. anyway, $29 for two, they are called cyclones. I bought 4 as gifts, and one set to use as helmet lights. the lights the city gives us are shit, and if you buy a high dollar light, people have a tendency to borrow them, these little lights are bright as hell, and could mount to an AR just like a surefire. This is all FYI, was thinking it would be a cheap alternative to a surefire, for non law enforcement tac heads. They use lithium batteries, and are much brighter than the mini maglights. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Cool. I dont usually like them on my rifles, but cheap bright lights are great to have stashed in the truck and around the house. Have to check them out next week.

$29? Cyclops right? They were $21 three weeks ago. I'll have to check the next time I go and see if the price went up here. I was thinking of buying another set of them.

Hell, they could have been $21, I have spent so much money lately, its hard to say, I do remember them in the $20 range, and thought that is a pretty cool deal, and when I got home and tried it, I thought, damn, that was a really good deal, and worth posting. edit: I called them cyclones, they are cyclops, damn my mind is shot, and if you take them out of the package, and say you got them from a company rep trying to demo them?, you could probably, turn a profit on them, just hope they don't go to sams and see them. and if your buddy busts you, just say man they were talking about selling these things in th$100 range, and act dumb, that always works.

I did a web search for these lights, and they retail for around $30 apiece elsewhere, at sams you get 2 for less than that, these lights were shown at the 2005 shot show with a msrp of $89, cyclops web site prices them at $99, they also have a 20,000,000 candle power handheld rechargeable spotlight for $26, yes they say twenty million, I have never heard of a spotlight that powerful? I was just wondering so I thought I would see what I could find out.

I bought these to mount on my fire helmet, but for shit and giggles I found an old scope mount, it was a little big, so I took some adhesive weather stripping, and taped it to the light, it worked, and now my cheap tac light is impact protected, and shock resistant, for all those nasty fire fights at the shooting range! haha! in all honesty it looks pretty good on my AR, I may mount it on my nine upper, with beta mag, ultimate burgler buster! for the suburban arm chair tac head! Merry Christmas to all, Treeman
