Dose anyone know what the law is for finishing an 80% lower? Or were I can find the laws? I've been told its illegal to finish one unless you are a registered  manufacture with the BATF. Is this true?

IT IS TOTALLY LEGAL FOR ANY ONE AS LONG AS YOUR NOT A FELON TO MAKE OR BUILD YOUR OWN RIFLE ,PISTOL(50 OZ LIMIT),AND SHOT GUN,

YOU CAN NOT BUILD A MG OR FULL AUTO ( UNLESS YOUR A CLASS O2 MFG)

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A CALSS O2 TO MAKE YOUR OWN OR COMPLETE AN 80% RECEIVER INTO A WORKING FIREARM ( AS LONG AS IT IS NOT FOR RESALE.

THIS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED MANY TIME HERE DO A SEARCH ON THE LEGAL OF BUILDING AND 80% SHOULD COME UP WITH A LOT OF INFO

Barring any state restrictions, you are fine with building yourself a firearm that isn't otherwise illegal (Class 3, preban, etc.)

Not to be an asshole or anything, but the search feature has been gone for a few days now.  Give the guy a break.

Also, any chances of tanneryshop carrying the 0% forged blanks?  << Nevermind, I didn't look far enough down the page.

Here is a place to get spec 80% lowers or take a drive, buy it and then finish milling it onsite.

Build your own gun day.

November 1 & 2 - 8:00 AM

For those of you who would like to build your own gun from an 80% finished receiver – here is your chance to finish the rest on site!  1911 or AR15 80% available.

80% 1911 frames will be $150.00
80% AR15 lowers will be about $80.00

You can buy the 80% finished receivers and then you can finish what you bought on our machine!  This is completely legal.

AR15 parts will be available on Saturday.

The BBQ will be on November 1 & 2; I hope many of you will come. (I will post some picture soon) We have a nice backstop right in our front yard. There is a hotel/motel 2 miles up the road.

Please RSVP so we have enough materials on hand.

Sprat-
Lighten Up!!!

Its a legit question, albeit one often asked and answered.  The search feature is on its way back (understandable situation), but some people simply don't have TIME to dig through all the old threads.
