! ! ! ! . . . NOT . . . ! ! ! !
Got your attentention though, didn't it?
Some of ya'll that've been around here for a bit might remember the OSI jig "Group Buy" deal that first surfaced on the BIY forum of ar15.com in November of last year. For those that weren't around back then, or for those that might have been around back then but who, like many of us old timers, suffer from CRS (Can't Remember Sh*t), the basic premise of the "OSI Jig Group Buy" deal was;
"Why don't ten of us chip in $25 apiece and buy one of the OSI jig units and pass it around amongst ourselves to complete some of these 80% complete cast lowers?"
Sounded like a damned good idea at the time! Within 72 hours of the initial posting on the BIY forum, the "deal" was done. Ten guys (all "strangers" to one another at the time) had "signed-on", and the "Builders Squad AR15 Project" was under way. In the ensuing months, lots of folks have expressed an interest in the final outcome of the "deal". Well, here it is. The truth, the whole truth, and nothin' but the truth. At least as far as I understand it to be.
The Builders Squad AR15 ProjectAn entire web site devoted to the "Builders Squad AR15 Project", complete with detailed instructions on use of the OSI "Super" jig in the completion of a Tannery Shop 80% casting. (There's also a lot of good info on the site that might prove useful for anyone attempting to complete an 80% casting but who is not using the OSI jig.)
