doublestar and armalite are the only ones with chrome lined barrels. so yeh, that would be my choice

ArmaLite is still selling only complete rifles, with deliverability an unknown, and the Doublestar CL barrels have yet to be seen in captivity.

The 7.62x39 barrels have vanished from the Sabre Defence website. I haven't heard of anybody actually getting one.

Just received my Armalite 3 days ago. Fit and finish are excellent, but I think I got a faulty mag. The rounds just keep getting jammed in the feed ramps.
The barrel is nice, marked "7.62x39mm Cr-Mo-V CL 1:10" Armalite is great I'm sure they'll take care of the mag ASAP. |

I plan on posting a review and pics in about a month. I will be TDY till the end of Feb. but as soon as I get back home I'll get it done.

I have been using an ER Shaw, It is not chrome lined. It shoost very accurate. it is 1-10 and 16"..I bought a Colt 20" Blue Label right after I got this one to check accuracy and the Colt is 1-12 and could not beat the accuracy so I sold the Colt. I have been playing with sub-sonics. It will shoot the Hornady 220 gr RN accurate with Red Dot sights at 50yds and will try 100yds when I get it scoped. I have a Armalite upper and the feed ramps are opened up.
