I have a Colt 7.62x39 full stock lower  and just built a Bushmaster M4 upper in 5.56mm. It seems to work fine but I had a thought.....Do I need to change anything out of the old 7.62x39 LOWER??
Specifically thinking about the buffer in the old stock.

Thanks in advance........ FN in MT

Been there Done that. Just slap that upper on and don't look back. BTW check and see if yours is drilled out for the front pivot pin detent. If so you can take that crappy screw and put in a regular front pivot pin. If you are so inclined.

Only difference between a 7.62 and a 5.56 lower is the caliber stamping on the side. Enjoy[:D]
