I just threaded my AR 7.62 X 39 barrel.....I turned it to 1/2" X 28 like standard .223 ARs. I openned up the through hole on the phantom hider.....this should all be o.k., shouldn't it.

I know most .30 cal ARs are threaded 9/16 x something, but isn't that mostly to make sure nobody accidentally screws a .223 FH on with a hole too small for the bullet.

my 300 whisper conversions are threaded 1/2x28" tpi with .30cal vortex FHs. No problem.
