I thought importation of steel-core 7.62x39 ammo was prohibited after Oly came out with that pistol.

It is banned from import and FFL's can't sell it anymore. Any ammo in private hands can be sold by the individual as long as the sale is legal. I.E. no slaes to prohibited persons or in areas that prohibit the possession of the ammo.

I bought about 2500 rounds of Chinese Steel Core alittle over a year ago and only paid around $325 for all of it ( including shipping )

I found a case of norinco for sale in a local paper today . The guy wanted $350 for it. I called and offered him $150 and he got offended and started telling me it was AP and very rare. I laughed at him and hung up. Some people think steel cored ammo is the gold standard.

It is not AP, but I have found it to be some of the most accurate 7.62 ammo on the market. The funny thing is through my unscientific testing, I found the copper washed steel over lead to be much better at going through tree trunks  Boy do I ever miss living in the middle of nowhere when I could kick open my back door and go shooting any time I wanted to.

But, but, its CHINESE! And STEEL CORE! They say it will stop a tank in ONE SHOT! From ONE THOUSAND YARDS!.
If only it could cure overuse of the caps lock, it might be worth it. |
