olympic offers 6x45 and 6ppc calibers for someone looking to run a bigger round for hunting. I can't find anthing about these rounds on the site. Could someone let me know what the differences are and is 6x45 the same as 6mm Remm.? I heard 6ppc was more of a match type round but I thought I would ask the experts. Thanks.

The 6x45mm is not the same as the 6mm Remington. It is simply a .223 case necked up to 6mm. The 6mm PPC is a 7.62x39mm case necked down to 6mm. Personally I believe the 6mm PPC is superior because it has more velocity than the 6x45mm. However neither of these rounds are widely available, and unless you reload, finding ammo may be a problem.

Thanks. Olympic is about to release a .243 WSSM and a .223 WSSM and I think I will just wait for the .243. It will mean buying another upper but I can think of worse things to have to spend money on than AR stuff.
