I'm sure there are some threads covering this but I can't find any so........
What exactly are the differences in the markings?  I called Specialized Armament and they have several different stripped lowers and I thought about bying one and building my own M4 semi version of course!

That was terrific as far as markings go!  Thanks!  Is the 6291 strictly full auto or does it come in a semi version?  Obviously I already said I'm trying to make my own M4 so if it says it it makes it that much more appealing to me!  I realize this is stupid but I want it!

The 6920 and 6921 are the same as far as marked safe/fire, and large FC pins.

The difference is in how they are roll marked and the 6921 is a SBR. So you need a $200 tax stamp.

6921 SBR per _DR's thread

6920 non-SBR per _DR's thread

ETA 6920 16.1" Barrel.  6921 14.5" barrel

Do you think that Specialized Armarment has any of the 6921 or for that matter anyone?  I want just the lower!  I tried calling Specialized Arms today I believe over 100 times and got no one!

I talked to Tina about getting just a LE6921 lower, and she said no.  They only have complete guns. They would have to take it off the NFA list, take off the upper, and they are not willing to do that.

Try Pete. He will.

LE6920 16.1" barrel/Non-SBR/Rollmark: COLTS LAW ENFORCEMENT CARBINE

LE6921 14.5" barrel/SBR/Rollmark: M4LE COLTS LAW ENFORCEMENT

Either can be ordered in the Heavy Barrel config designated by LE6921HB or LE6920HB

Yes but I'm after the lower, actually the roll markings too be honest!  I'd be glad to find a real forgery that said Colt, and had the M4 designation!  Matter of fact it would probably be mil spec!  I really wish I didn't want a colt, but I want one for the collection, so I have to buy 1!  I don't have to buy the rest of the gun from Colt.  CMMG makes some damn good parts and along with some other companies favor the colts a whole lot!  Besides that other than the roll mark with out taking it apart it is hard to tell the difference!

The lower is what's registered, not the upper. Unfortunately you can't buy just the lower. If you find a place willing to do so please let me know. You can buy a LE6921/LE6921HB upper all day long, the lower is a different story. You'll have to pony up (pun intended) $200 and wait for that. As for differences between a LE6920 and 21 lower, there is NONE w/ the exception of the rollmarks. As for your mil-spec comment, one is no more "mil-spec" then the other. If you want it that bad w/out the wait or stamp do what I did, get a LE6921HB upper and mount it on a LE6920 lower. You'll only be missing the rollmark, other then that, exact same rifle.

We have dozens, they are issued to the narcotics crews.   Semi, with 14.5" barrel.   Nothing special about them to justify $1000+US for a lower.
