if a barrle is marked for the 5.56 case, is your .223 ammo going to shoot worse. i know that the casings off the military 5.56 is a bit thicker, therefore more psi in the chamber. is it better to reload? if so, do i look for .223 brass or 5.56?  thanks. brian

No. Both will shoot good NATO is a little hotter.
As for re-loading NATO brass are thicker wall get yourself a good manual. As long there is a good supply of 5.56 or .223 buy it because re-loading get's a little boring at least for me.
