Hey Guys,

I got a set of 5.56 go and no go gauges for my 5.56 barrel. I have tried two different BCGs and the go and no go gauges are not locking up but an actual round is. Should I be concerned with this?

Thanks, Wes

Use only the bolt, stripped of the extractor and ejector.
If it is truely 5.56 gauge and the GO gauge does not close on the barrel, you may have a .223 chamber.

Check with the bolt stripped first.

I have stripped the bolt for the test. The gauges are marked 5.56 Go and 5.56 No Go. The Barrel is a JoeBobOutfitters 5.56 stamped stainless steel.

Barrel should be reamed 5.56, so it either the bolt or the barrel that is out of spec.

Give them a call to go over the problem.

I just sent them an email. Hopefully we can resolve the problem. I appreciate the help you guys.
