I would like to see what kind of accuracy you Guys get with 40-55 grain bullets
from a 5.56 Chamber.
I shoot mostly 40-55 V-Max for yotes.
Got Pics of grouping

The chamber isn't really going to make any difference... Its the barrel twist ratio that stabilizes the bullet to achieve maximum accuracy... With the shorter lighter bullets a slower twist ratio is beneficial... The 1:10" twist ratio will stabilize 40-55 grain bullets the best... You could even get decent results using a 1:12" twist barrel too...

Here are two 10-shot groups from 100 yards using 55 grain Sierra BlitzKings.  The barrel was a Colt 16" HBAR with a 1:9 twist and a NATO chamber with chrome lining.  (The groups were shot off a bench using a high-power Leupold scope.)

i tried many commercial loads of 55gr in my Colt 1:9 barrel...most 10 shot 100 yd groups were 1"...a few were 1 1/4"...all shot from a bipod rest with 4x10 scope

What I am conserned with is the Long throat in the 5.56
I will not be able to get close to the lands hand loading 40-55 gr. V-Max Bullets.
I want a tack drive.
I am thinking of getting either a Fulton Varmint Upper 20" 1:9
or an Olympic K-8 1:9 20" Bull.
Both are 5.56 Chambers

This is one of my better 5 shot groups with my scoped Bushy hbar with the Winchester 45gr varmint ammo.

WWB 45 gr, 24", 1-12 twist, RRA Varmit (Wylde Chamber). These are typical groups. BHBB 52 gr. MHP groups somewhat better.

Nice Groups Guy's:
I am trying to deside on a 20" Bull or an H-Bar
Will be hunting Yotes and it must shoot under MOA or I don't want it
