I've seen these BH 5.56 77gr match "seconds" at Cabelas in a white box, I think they run almost $20-30 for 50 rounds.

Anyone know what makes them "seconds"? Would that make them unfit for personal defense?

Cosmetic defects. Ought to run fine--I've never shot ay of them, but those who have have not reported functioning problems.

I've got some.  Shoots very well, and I've been hardpressed to find the defects.  From what I understand, it is seconds from Mk 262 Mod 1 production.
