Just trying to get a full understanding of this rascal before I sink my teeth into it. It has a closed bottom port to alleviate dust signature when firing prone (I'm sure at least 1/3 of you know what I'm referring to). Anyway, with a closed bottom port, wouldn't that also reduce muzzle climb in addition reducing flash? Does the flash reducing capabilities suffer as a result? I would think so....but I may be missing something here. I haven't had my 2nd cup of coffee yet so I may be a couple facts away from an accurate assessment of this muzzle device.

I expect not, although I haven't shot mine yet.

It doesn't make much difference. Unlike a compensator the front of the brake is wide open so the spent gasses will head straight out the front (path of least ressistance).

That said, I like this brake alot. I have replaced the Vortex & regular birdcage tips on both of my AR's in favor for these.

I knew I was forgetting something obvious (open ended muzzle)
