I only have a 6.  I was debating the same thing, until I saw a 6-pos. for very cheap.
I didn't know the difference.  Still don't.
There is absolutely nothing negative about the 6-pos.  Go for it.

I have a 4 position extension and it works just fine.

I just got my 6 position delivered yesterday and Im glad I went with it.  It just offers a little bit more in comfort.   With other stocks I found myself wanting it in a position that was not possible to get.  It was either too short, or too long.   So 6 pos offers a little more comfort for me.

6pos is too many to me.

Personally, I want a three, maybe a 4.  I want fully closed for storage/carry, fully open for most of my shooting, and somewhere in the middle when doing CQB work.

I find the 6 pos is too long fully open, and I always have to go back 1-click in... for A1 length, which is kind of a pain.... and less repeatable than the old style stocks.

Its never been an issue with me if my stock had 4 or 6.
