What is the measurement on the total height of a 40 rd magazine approximately.

Ive got a 54 chest and can use DPMS 45 rounders no problem prone.  For a swag you could just take 2 30s and overlap 2/3 of them and measure.

so I think about 9" or so, I am just interested prone use vs capacity/design , the grippod certainly puts the weapon up a bit higher if using it as a mount.

The 40 rd USGI copied mags are about the same height as the surefire 60 rd quad if this is close.

I'm a little dude at 5'9" and I didn't have any trouble going prone with my 40 rounder C Products Mags.  No comfort issues that I can recall.  and I have magpul ranger plates on mine so they're a bit longer.

I get 9.5" for the CP 40, 2.5" more than a 30.
