can a 308 AR such as a DPMS rifle use a A2 stock and A2 handguard from a 556 AR-15?

Yes, the stock will fit, but uses a different buffer and buffer spring. The handguard will not fit because the 308 barrel nut is larger diameter than that for an AR-15.

How much larger? The AR10's have the larger barrel nut and the Ar15 handguard will fit. Does DPMS make a special handguard?
