I recently picked up an A1 upper assembly on the EE. There are no markings on the barrel, std. under the HG's, skinnt forward. The reciever is marked " D K ", on the right side of the handle, under the rear sight. I have since seen a couple others go on the EE. Anybody know what manufacturer uses this code?

This upper assembly had been "repainted", the parkarized barrel and front sight and the anodized reciever had been primed with zync chromate and several coats of a flat black "paint" substance. Any body know if this a standard "military"( or other) practice? or just a previous owners work.(this upper has been around)
thanks in advance.
