NICE rifle! I would really like one similar to that. My only suggestion would be to move the scope forward so that it is even with the end of the charging handle, possibly even more. But everyone is different!

But everyone is different! It doesn't look like he can move the scope more than an inch or so forward.  He's all out of rail on the upper.

I built one these varmint guns from http://www.m-aparts.com/ and love it . No problems. Model One makes a great varmint gun.

You may need to use a different mount to get that scope forward enough.  Generally, you will want the scope to be pretty much flush with the charging handle on an AR.

That's a beautiful gun, but trust me you will only be shooting that baby from a rest or prone!  I had one, and it was so heavy in front there was NO WAY I was shooting it offhand!

Nice build! I like the scope you put on it. I'm still searching around for  good scope. I'm almost done with mine and can't wait to shoot it. This is a 24" .204 Ruger.

Thank's for the complements, and suggestions. The Larue mount is nice, a bit pricey at $195.00. I will shoot it some more like this, so far 160 rounds through it.. it is very accurate. It seems I now have to get into reloading.. The larue scope mount will wait. I will be shooting this mostly at the range on a bench. Yep, it's heavy.

I am very happy with Model 1 Sales, very promt shipping! No real problems with parts - except the pivot pin detent was a bit long - so I took a dremel to it , and it fit fine. it's a shooter

The Barrel is a E.R. Shaw 24"SS barrel 1:8 twist chambered 5.56.

I Love the Magpul PRS stock This stock was way too sweet not to have!
