The upper reciever on my first build has been on hold for a while, and now I think I may be ready to proceed. The club where I shoot most often, only allows rimfire rifles, and let's face it .22 LR is great for someone on a budget. So....

Are there any testimonials from people who have .22 LR uppers? Are they reliable and or accurate? And what all is needed. Who makes what? Where can I buy what? DPMS good? The dixie gun and knife show, in Raleigh, NC, is this weekend and I want to know what to look for.

It'll be mounted on a RRA Lower with a RRA NM trigger group.

I have a 22LR DPMS upper. I got the bull barrel model with a flat top and no sights because I wanted to use optics. I put a $70 bushnell 3-9x on it and I find it to be very accurate. It's more accurate than I am. Operation is good, I've had a few light strikes and one non-full eject in about 500 rounds. I think it's getting better, those happened early on. I have no experience with other uppers The rimfire forum has more information on some of the other brands. -Dan
