Anyone have an idea as to why 204 Ruger uppers - and complete guns, for that matter - are so bloody expensive?

I wonder that too. The barrel itself is only about 100 to 150 more which I can understand because there are not mass quantities made like the 223/5.56 barrels.

I am building a varmint gun and have thought about this chamber. but I might just do a 1:8 twist and put some heavier loads through.
