my only advice would be to move your aimpoint back further so it is mounted strictly on the receiver to eliminate any movement it might have from that handguard.
that being said, you probably won't have a problem with it how it is, but if you would like it mounted that far forward I would look into a cantilever mount from larue.

Nice Rifle. That is not the normal first build. You've got some nice parts on there! Congrats

Thanks! This was my first complete build. My first AR was a factory built stag that I tinkered with and swapped out several aftermarket parts on. So I just took the dive and decided to go at it guns a blazin! No pun intended

Appreciate it!
On the reliability scale she's a champ! Guzzled down every crap type of ammo I've shoved down her throat.
Recoil is pretty much nil and follow up shots are a breeze. NiB-X hammer took out any crunch/grittiness in the trigger and I'm sure that will just get better the more I shoot her.
Haven't gotten to put any match or hand loads through her yet so accuracy hasn't been fully realized...but with off the shelf FMJ's on a good day for me 1.5 to 2 MOA easliy done.
With match/hand loads or a more experienced shooter I'm sure sky's the limit. Wait until you see my newest build. Hopefully will have pics up tomorrow!

Sling is a Magpul MS3 multi-mission

Awesome!!! Means a lot to me to get all this positive feed back!
It's ate up pretty much every crap ammo I've fed her. Recoil is nil so follow up shots are quick and precise.
Unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to really put it through the accuracy tests I would like as match ammo is nearly impossible
to locate where I live. And I'm not setup to hand load yet. So I'm just gonna have to break down and order some black hills MK262 77gr
and hornady 75gr ammo and put it through it's paces. Especially with my newest build that I'll hopefully have some pics up of tomorrow!
Stay tuned!!!!

RIGHT ON BROTHER!!!!
Thanks for the "+1" on the optic placement
I run it that way because I feel that it allows for better downrange awareness as it doesn't obstruct your field of view and allows the use of both your eyes.
But that's just personal preference. I do want to add a flip to side 3X mag very soon. Any experience with the primary arms or aimpoint magnifiers? I know the
Primary is a lot more inexpensive.

I have the Primary Arms 3x. Had it behind my Eotech and it worked great on my carbine. I took it off because between it and everything else, the weight was getting to much. The Eotech now sits on my 7.5" pistol and I have a primary arms 3x red dot on the carbine. I hang on to the magnifier though because it was good enough and cheap enough that having it on hand if I ever change my mind is worth the price I paid.
