Giles Single   Point from The Wilderness if you want the most durable.

They get a lot of wear on the sling at the mounting point, and the Giles is the toughest.

I' with Lumpy, Picked one up a few months ago and am very happy with the quality. hooked it to a Daniel Defense Burnsed Loop attachment plate and it's  Swwweeeeett!! a lot less to get entangled with then the 3-point sling I was using. and nothing on the handguard to get in the way. The Muzzle moves around a little bit more when you let it hang, but the pluses outweigh that little annoyance IMHO.
What you could do to try a single point is to make  one (A simple Loop of an old sling, etc.) and attach it on to the Buffer extention with a Twist tie. this will give you the feel for it. This is just to get a feel for it. it would not be recommended to do as a permanent or semi permanent mod as the Twist tie has the potential to interfere with the path of the Charging handle. then if you think you like the set up, spend the cash on a real set up. hope that helps.
