I would stick to the LMT or Noveske. Both will serve you well. I have had absolutely zero issues with mine.

LMT, Colt and Noveske are the only manufacturers I would jump for when buying a shorty.
Pat has a way of showing people the light when it comes to short guns. |

I also had a CMMG briefly. Worked perfectly and I'd recommend as well. Wound up with a Noveske unit though.

A guy in the class had a CMMG 10.3" & had constant problems. I don't know the extent of the problems but I hate a gun that won't run! He didn't have a Noveske brake on it, though. Not to knock the entire line, but I've got a CMMG barrel that I'm using two handguard caps to hold a pair of handguards.
