I know a handful of vendors have 10.5s in stock but I'm trying to minimize length and exposed barrel with a 9.25" MI rail. I'm also not trying to spent $205 on a BA Hanson.
Is this a case of beggars can't be choosers?

This....10.3" 300BO Hanson barrel.
or

10.3" 5.56 Hanson barrel

If you want 10.3" look at DD or Noveske....KAC. Goiny to be a lot more expensive than BA.

Besides the price of the Hanson barrels, my issue is that I want to use a different gas block.

Whats the problem? Replace the gas block. You will most likely have to take it off anyway to install a barrel nut.

So then I have a spare gas block and have to build another upper because spare parts are unacceptable

Suppose I was to entertain this idea...
Who has a 10.3" Hanson bead blast .625 for a good price?
Andro Corp said they dropped 10.3" and AIM is a no go too.
