I used to have a ProStaff 3-9x40mm, which is a slight step down from that. It was a great scope; very bright and clear glass, tracking was right on, etc. I think you'd be pleased with that one, but bear in mind that it isn't designed to withstand being knocked around much, being a sporting scope.
