Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - cmmg rifle options...

Is the optional "Extended polished feed ramp" option really neccessary on the a 20" gov't rifle over the standard "anodized ramp". I've read they simply dremel out the ramp anyways and it wouldn't improve performance in a semi-auto rifle anyway. What's the concensus? Thanks for the input.

I just ordered a short upper & one of their reps told me on tx yesterday that the extended ramps just allow you to shoot a wider variety of ammo except Wolf which will void your warranty. So, I went with the anododized ramps instead, which are already extended.

That's what the rep advised me. I didn't ask her to detail her remark since I don't shoot Wolf ammo anyway.
