Anyone know of any scopes like a 3x9 or 4x12 that are available in flat dark earth–– the catch is I don't want to spend a lot... say under $200? looking for cheap as possible

Check out Burris, they have one in green that's under $500.00. Well I guess thats not really all the helpful since you want FDE and under $200.00. Just thought I'd throw that out there anyway.

I'll check out that burris, it sounds like a homemade paint job might be the only way... oh well, hopefully it doesn't turn out too bad. I'll post pics once its done, thanks for the help guys

When I shop online I always check www.froogle.com (it's a product search). Then sort by 'base price'.

Check the Leupold custom shop page. Depending on the model of scope, they will put a FDE finish on it for extra $. You'll have to check around in there because they don't offer it on some models and I don't recall how much extra it is.
