The one thing I had to do was move my eotech up to T8 from T6... so I will have to re-sight it at the range first thing.

"poor-boy and Larue"  just doesn't go together in a sentence.

I thought the higher larue mount needed the larue riser under the EO to line up?

Went to the range yesterday and gave the hendsholt a shot...

targets: http://pistoleer.com/targets/pics/A25.gif  100 yard small bore competition targets.

Keep in mind, the eotechs 1moa dot completely covers all the black at 100 yards with these targets. (1:1)

At 50 yards it was ragged holes without the magnifier, and even tighter groups with it engaged.  Dime to quarter size groups.  That is pretty standard shooting for me in a controlled environment.

At 100 yards, the hendsholt allowed me to see enough of the black to put rounds in a tighter group.  Still not sub moa @ 100 yards with the eotech, but I do not expect it to be.

If it were a target smaller than a head at 100 yards, the hendsholt would be great.  Other then that, standard business.

My only complaint is the clarity of the glass.  It appears to be tinted, for lack of a better description.  The light does not come through crystal clear... it is like looking through a pair of slightly tinted sunglasses.  It is great for the day, but do not know how it will perform at night yet (will do night shooting soon).

The eotechs reticle is perfectly clear through the hendsholt.  I have no complaint about the eye relief either.  Its not a run and gun device for me.  If you have an extra second to set up and take the shot, its perfect.

hendsholt 2.5x $40, eotech 3x $399, aimpoint 3x $479.  You pick.

Is it worth the money? Without a doubt.

The LaRue mount is awesome, just like the other LT products I own.  I am thinking about switching out my buis for a lower profile one to make this work even better on my rifle.  Overall, great combo.  I would recommend it to anyone thinking about purchasing it.

Thanks again to LaRue Tactical for a great product (and Austin for the service and this range report I promised)

Sort of yellowish ?? Could be some sort of laserdefying coating, they did a lot of that over here in Europe in the early 90`s..

All our issue Swarovskis was pulled in for recoating and came back with a yellowish tint in the lenses, not as crisp and clear as before servicing, but they claim that it should be safe(r) to get lasered with the coating..
