Nice! I might have to get one for my next build.
Whats the retail price looking at for these? |

I may be a bit slow, but does this button only release the bolt? Can you use the button on the right side to lock the bolt back as well?

We need to see some super lightweight rails with QD sockets for 556 and 308 in all different lengths! I'd drop my 5 or so DD rails TODAY if you can make it happen! ![]() |

Just being greedy...can you add an ambi mag release too. 7mm magpul really solved the bolt release issue for us good ambi mag drop is what we lefties want now ![]() |

This lower with a rifle length mega round monolithic upper receiver , SS rainier 16" middy select barrel, black CTR stock, Moe grip, and a nice 1-4 scope in a Larue mount would be perfection for not that bad a price.

Just being greedy...can you add an ambi mag release too. 7mm Norgon makes the standard for an ambi mag release. Battle Arms Development makes the standard for the ambi safety. My humble opinion of course. Both of these items would work nicely if the end user felt a need for them. |

Are they going to be offered as a bare or semi-bare option (minus trigger and safety)? What kind of pricing at Rainier?
I guess now I have to sell one of my AA lowers to get a matching Mega for the Mega billet upper I just got from you guys. |

I think rainier stocks them. ETA: I should read the whole thread before replying. ...and what everyone else said...lol |

Anyway I'm semi interested in this depending on cost. The complete KAC lower seems to still be the way to go for my next build although I might consider one of these. |

Do I spy Mega's new and improved monolithic upper there too? Good eye, that's definitely the GEN2 model. |

Pricing is still being worked on. Hoping pricing to be similar to the current billet lowers. We'll see.

That upper and lower combo looks awesome! Nicely done Mega!! Great lines, love the mag well, and the ambi bolt release looks extremely nice! I'm also curious on price point as well. Suffice it to say it will be worth the coin!

That's awesome but why not add an ambi-safety. Its sold as a stripped lower, for an ambi-safety I would recommend the Battle Arms Development setups. |

Will they use threaded pins for the ambi bolt release and bolt catch or mil-spec pins ?

Now if somebody would just make a lower with an ambi bolt catch and release....

Few questions....
1. I'm assuming the lower has M4 feed ramps? 2. Is there any difference between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 besides the ambi bolt release? Since I'm not a lefty I dont really care and I'm want a set of these for a current build. *NEVERMIND I guess I should have read the initial post better* Thanks! |

Damn, and I just got my Gen 1 set a few weeks ago....

1. I'm assuming the lower has M4 feed ramps? The lower does not have M4 feedramps. There is no need for a lower receiver to have anything cut into it in the way of feedramps, the bullets are way over the top of the lower as they are feeding out of the magazine. If you put a magazine into a lower receiver (without the upper attached) you will see what I mean. |
|
I have to admit I don't usually want products that would cause my muscle memory to be different on different rifles, but this would be awesome for me. Especially if I go back to my old ways the original bolt release is still there. Nice product!
|
|
Sorry I meant does the upper have m4 feedramps.... not the lower *duh*
|

Figure out a way to attach that bolt catch to the shaft that pushes on it, a shelf to catch your finger on the ambi release to pull it out, and you would have an ambi catch, AND release. Just saying.

Do you know if this lower can accept a KNS anti-rotation pin set? The ambi-bolt release looks close to the hammer pin.

Do you know if this lower can accept a KNS anti-rotation pin set? The ambi-bolt release looks close to the hammer pin. From the pics and from having the KNS G2M2 pins on all of my lowers it looks like the radius in that area would be a perfect fit for them. At a glance it looks as if they machined it that way just for the KNS stuff. I would be surprised otherwise as Mega seems to have a lot of foresight in their designs....fingers crossed they do indeed fit. |

Pricing is still being worked on. Hoping pricing to be similar to the current billet lowers. We'll see. Since they are using the same 7075-T6 as their current model, the price point should stay the same correct? Is there a group buy going on with this thread where there will be special pricing for those who join the GB? Are they going to do a lower shelf like they did in gen1? Will they still offer their uppers with M4 feed ramps? I see they are now offering their uppers as a Monolithic Upper with built in rail that is one solid piece. Are you guys going to be offering these as well with a group buy to go along with the lowers & any ideas on the price point for these various models? (Pistol, carbine & rifle) Thanks. |

This lower will go great with an ASA side charger upper. ASA side charger
The standard bolt release on the ASA side charger is not the greatest set up. Moving the bolt release to the right side will be great. I already have a Mega billet lover, and can't wait to get my hands on one of these. I hope the pricing won't be through the roof. Mega is pricy, but well worth it. One thing that someone noticed was the ability to use the KNS anti-rotation pins. I certainly hope this will be the case. |
|
We aren't sure if there is going to be a group buy but I'll try to work on that. The GEN 2s retail will be about $20 more because of the cost associated with machining the extra bolt release levers. I haven't tried them with KNS pins yet but when we get more in, I can certainly try them out.

|
Hey John, do we have an ETA yet on MEGA's v2 mono uppers yet?

You could count me in on a group buy for an upper and lower combo if we can get one together.
