To my best recollection, I think the standard pins started to appear in guns manufactured around February of 2009. Someone else here may be able to provide a better date, or they have the serial number changeover. My LE 6920, manufactured in December of 2008, still has the large pins.

I bought my 6920 in 2008 abd has the small pins. I believe thats the year they started but not on all of them...

My mistake I bought mine 9/2009...it might have been in 2009 they started to make them with the .154 fcg pins. I have the .154 pins and my serial range is 69xxx.

Coincided with the release of the 6940.

All 6940s produced have the .154 pins, other models transitioned during production.

+1 The change to the standard small size FCG pins started with the model 6940.

Since the 6940 shares the same lower as the 6920, the 6920 is the first to be changed after the 6940.

I have a model 6721 with plastic birth bag and barrel dated 5/ 2009 and it have the small size FCG pins.

I have heard that by mid 2009 almost all models already have the small size pins (but don't quote me on that).
