Value?  Depends on what it is you value.  I'd go with Spikes or BCM or Colt.  I have a BCM upper so when I get around to buying a new bolt carrier group i'm going with BCM.

BCM, Many professionals trust their lives on BCM.

Does BCM make an AR15 carrier?

Get a BCM, DD or Spikes M16 BCG and be done with it. You would be foolish not too.

FYI: M16 BCG's are perfectly legal in an AR-15. I would never buy an aftermarket BCG that wasn't FA.

Unless his lower is a Colt with the DIAS block. In which case a M16 BCG will not even allow the upper to close onto the lower. of my 5 colts only one will work with a M16 BCG.

yes they do,but why would you want an AR15 BCG ? get the M16 BCG ,it is 100% legal and has more mass for better function.

Unless Spike's or BCM can beat that price, it looks like the best deal so far. Build quality is far more important that the dated tests some BCG boast, and DD has a great reputation for build quality.

I'd be willing to bet its not. I've never seen one of those lowers BTW. Pics?

Thanks to everyone for the info and advice. After reading the specs on their site. think I'll be going with the BCM M16 bolt group. It does appear to be the best bang for the buck.
When your life depends on it, second best does'nt count!

Mid 1990's vintage Colt sear block.  Prevents use of M16 BCG amoung other things.

In this pic you may be able to make out the large steel pin that holds the sear block in the lower.

Just something to keep in mind if you are a Colt owner and considering jumping on the "full auto" BCG bandwagon.
