Yeah, I just picked it up today and after opening the recievers I realized that it does't have M4 feed ramps and also I don't think it has the dry-film lube in the upper. Whats up with that?

Stags dont have m4 feed ramps, not an issue for the price of their uppers imo.

You don't "need" M4 feed ramps, maybe if you're shooting full-auto a lot. With the .223/5.56 cartridges they aren't necessary for semi-autos. As far as your upper not being lubed, you should be inspecting and lubing your BCG yourself before you fire it anyway.

Well, when I called Stag today, I forgot to ask about the M4 feed ramps, but they told me they they use the dry-film lube in their uppers  I usually coat my BCG and upper in soo much lube anyway that I guess it doesn't matter, but I feel like I was kind of cheated. But, the uppers have zero play, and I can push the pin out with my fingers  Just curious as a side note, CMMG doesn't do the dry film lube either right? |

Dont worry about dry film lube. It isnt gonna matter or last after a few 100 rounds. rely on good ol BreakFree CLP. M4 feed ramps dont matter for a semi rifle as much as they do for a Full auto.
Were they using M4 feed ramps before the M4? your concerns arent much of a issue. Enjoy your new rifle. Take care of it and it will take care of you. |

M4 feed ramps are not necessary...don't have a heart attack over it. You're rifle will function just fine.

Millions of rounds have been fired through M16's, in combat, without M4 feed ramps. You just have to hold your mouth right.

 I wouldnt pay more than ten dollars to have M4 feedramps machined onto my AR. If I purchased a gun that came with them, cool, it would be a bonus I guess. I wouldnt lose sleep over it though. PMAGS work wonders BTW its not like his stag is going to be fired in FA anyways. Another reason not to worry about ramps

Unless you're shooting a high cyclic rate FA M4 with old black follower USGI mags, weak springs, and longer-than-designed-for rounds (M855, tracers), M4 ramps don't matter.

My Stag has fed and fired every type and brand of ammo I've used. It's a quality tool; enjoy it! |

Your stag will function 100% whithout them as thousands of rifles have in the past. |

Ok Ok, I see now. I used to have M4 feed ramps on both of my Bushmaster rifles and I figured that if they have them, then Stag would use them. But, the rifle has an excellent finish/fit, and I am otherwise pleased with it.
